How to fix a loose sprocket?
Anyone have an idea on how to fix a loose sprocket... on a b16a2? Keep in mind, the timing belt is still on the pulley, and the crank pulley is off the car.
It's been making a real bad rattling noise from that area, and when I press on the gas, the noise starts to go away, and the sprocket seems to not wiggle when I do, but seems to have slight movement when it's at idle. Now, I know a bad crank can also give the illusion of a bad sprocket and/or crank pulley, but I'm sure if it was the crank the noise would get louder with higher RPM's, right?

Oh and I must add that there is some damage to the outside of the crank where the crank pulley goes. The chip extends just outside of where the Sprocket (aka timing belt pulley) sits.
