I'll be there, I've been waiting for a long time to go. Last time I went was in 99 with my Mitsu Eclipse.

 

I will be there as well. I hope more pros show up. There were only a few last year.

I don't think the rainouts made a difference. It was fine on Saturday and there wasn't but 3 pros there.

 

I'm not familiar with who the pros are, the time I went a few years back there was a girl who raced a gutted honda hatchback and got the fastest time there. I didn't care for it at the time, I used to own a mitsubishi eclipse and that's all I checked out all day, I wish I would have checked out some of the honda stuff now.

Ha that's the exact name I was thinking but then I started second gussing myself because there is some girl name Lisa who races funny cars at Joliet.

I dont know what your zip code is, but from 75201 (somewhere in Dallas, TX) to 60431 (somewhere in Joliet, IL) the distance is 880 driving miles (says MapQuest) and 767 Nautical miles (says indo.com)...maybe too much info? About 16 hours.

hey this is raymond, b18 if you head on out il show u around chicago. I live about 10 minutes from the speedway. I will be there with a blue talon. Hopefully we get kicked outa the track again.

For anyone who hasnt ran at joliet it is one of the best tracks in the united states, the officals are very stange about the track so it stays clean . Expect to run your best times at this track. Multi million dollar facilitys . A circle track, a normal track, and a drag strip . FUN FUN TIMES.

 

I'm gona be there and ready to run with my Red Integra with a new clutch and slicks, hopefully I will hit 12's and so I can make my self happy....

also oo bad last year got rained out othervise it would have been a pritty good event on that sunday...

b18bturbo, Ive driven from grapevine Tx. to Dekalb(which is about an hour north of Joliet) many times in 14.5-15 hrs

 

Yep that rain was a big disappointment. We did a last minute nitrous install on the toyota pickup in an effort to get the truck into the 10s (had been running low 11s all day saturday) but then the rain came This year we're going in with 2JZ power and a powerglide

But I will definitely be there with some of my guys to represent Iowa as good as we can I guess there aren't very many fast imports out here but will bring what we got and see what we can do...
