help with the clutch
hey. when i push my clutch in it makes a squeaking noise. also when running the quarter mile it doesn't like shifting into 2nd and wont go into gear unless i either double shift or let the rpm go down. the car has 114*** miles on it. a buddy of mine said i should change out the transmission fluid. idk what to do. any and all help is appreciated.
It could be many things. When has these noise from under the engine bay occurred? 1.Check clutch fluid.
2.Bleed out the clutch fluid anyways
3.Drain out transmission fluid.
4.When the car is off, push clutch pedal in and hear what it may sound like and where its coming from. Spray alittle bit of WD40 where the slave cylinder meets that piviting thing (that pushes your pressure plate/clutch. Take it for a drive and see if it keeps doing that.
5.If none work, take trans out and look at bearings, pressure plate, clutch, ect...
Not all in that order but its a start if you have that time. but if not, than you better make it quick.

it is a 98 civic ex 2dr. the squeaking is coming from what sounds like under the car. i am in school for another 2 weeks so as soon as i get out im going to do a complete tune up. change out all the fluids and bleed everything. i also think i need to change out the pads and rotors on the car because the wheel shakes really bad when slowing at any speed. i think i warped and glazed them really bad when braking from 100 to 0
