Default crx heater motor

I recently purchased a rex with a z6. I noticed my heater motor doesn't work. So I pulled the glove box and tore out the assembly. Then I unbolted the heater motor from the assembly. I removed the silver cap on top of the heater motor and noticed the switch has two little metal connecting pieces which I would assume give the power from the switch to the motor itself. So I went to the junkyard and got another switch. Everything fits, but there are two little springs that "somehow" compress to the metal connecting pieces against the center of the motor (spindle). Does anyone know where those springs attach to and/or any other problems.

I tried connecting the springs in there the way I described and they continue to fall out. The motor runs on high for like 10 seconds then when the springs eventually give out it shuts off.
