I made a thread wanted a 0bd1 p72 gsr ecu. I was contacted by drg007 that he had a ecu that i was looking for and he was asking 125 shipped. I payed via paypal and he ships it. Two days later, I receive the ecu in mail. The next day i received a email from my bank stating that my "bank declined my electronic funds transfer..... and will re-attempt to transfer again in three business days". About 10 mins after reading the email a couple of time, I private message him informing him of the email I received and I asked him what should i do. He sent me a message and told me "do, what u think is right. I trust ur judgement. r u loving the ecu???"

I replied that i would like to wait that 3 business days or is there something else you would like me to do? I also told him i did not try out the ecu due to the weather conditions in Philadelphia and I was waiting to swap in a USDM GSR B18c1 into a 00 Civic Si shell. He never responded to that message. Days later, the weather cleared and I began swaping the motor in the shell. Now this is my tenth time swapping a b series into a ek chassis and this is my fourth time swapping a b series into my personal vehicles and all ran successfully and is now sold to new owners. Now once I finish the swap I had starting up problems. When I was able to get it started, drove the car and the car kept shutting off. After diagnose all the possible problem, I ruled out that the ecu is bad. I obtained another similar ecu from my gsr and it ran fine and did vice versa and it had the same problems. Even with the stock Civic Si P2T ecu it ran fine.

I contacted drg007 stating that the ecu is bad and drg007 responded "Im not a store, where I lend an ecu out to people. I got many vouches. I sold many acura parts. I know my ecu is good. Sorry, Thanks". I filed a paypal dispute and gotten a bullshit resolution:

"Our investigation into your claim is complete. As stated in our User
Agreement, the claims process only applies to the shipment of goods. It
does not apply to complaints about the attributes or quality of goods
received. Therefore, we are unable to reverse this transaction or issue a
refund. "

My story has been straight way before the ecu was shipped here. Never once he help solved the problem before I began asking why he sold me his personal ecu. You see he stated that he personaly used the ecu in his own car that had a stock jdm B18c obd1 and his only modification is a comptech header. I then asked him why he swapped his ecu? He said he had an "extra" one and asking me whats wrong with the ecu. I honestly do not understand if he had been using the ecu that he have sold me for his jdm b18c and had an "extra" ecu why would he give me the one from his car since it "got no check engine light, is start right up and give him zero problem" according from the messages that he stated. Now wouldnt it be more logical to sell the "extra" ecu since the ecu is running fine in your car?

My question is why was he so worried about somebody opening up the ecu up?I bet if you do open it up its burnt inside.

 

what a douche..... use a credit card and then send it to paypal that way u can cancel the payment even if paypal wont.

not taking sides, but maybe the jumper harness is bad? If you tested 2 obd11 ecu's and they worked fine, maybe it could be the jumper harness who knows.

He's sold other more expensive stuff on here, I dont see why he would scam for $125 u know?

or maybe he'll swap it out with his "extra"?

i dont see why drg007 could refund him his money or swap with another ECU. Whats the big deal if drg007 sells so many parts here and on ebay im sure you could find another person to buy it if he gets his money back.

 

I highly doubt Alfred did that.. i know him personally and i know for a fact that he tests whatever he is selling before he ships it.

I have also been in his GSR before he started swapping parts on it and i can tell you everything was fine, the ecu could have gone bad during shipping or static could have gotten to it.


He is a good guy and a good seller, but if he did ship out a bad ECU i feel for you but that's why i don't buy many electronics off the intrawebs without video of it working or something to keep me at ease, also if you do end up buying another ecu ask them to put it into a static proof bag for extra security... I'm not taking sides here just throwing in my two cents.

IF ecu is burnt form the biginning, it would never start n might throw many codes.

The money is not the issue, I just do not want drg007 to continue living his life with that "wow i just sold a ****ed up ecu and he can't do **** about it" pride.

I was thinking the same thing when I first open the packaging. Till this day I have not open the ecu and not planning to.

I'm not planning to open the ecu reason being if he change his mind and offer me a refund, he can't say i messed up his ecu since I have never open it.

You not scamming me, you ripping me off. I sell many vehicles on here and never had a problem. In a few months, I'm selling the same car that I am throwing the swap in.

It's not the jumper harness. I tested a 0bd1 p72 ecu and a 0bd2 p2t ecu.


He's probaly a good guy and awsome selling and i'm also a great guy and awsome selling but like I said, vouches do not mean nothing here.
I doubt the the ecu messed up during shipping process


Yep the money is not the issue, I never said it was burnt, I do not know physically if it is burnt because I have never even bother to open it up. Some is weird

I'm not worry about getting a refund, it would be nice but I highly doubt it.

Its quite easy. Just be 100% honestly and know what to ask.
In this case when he told me he personal used the ecu in his personal vehicle, i knew what i needed to asked. So i asked him what motor do he have and what mods and after he responded, I hit him with the question of "why did you swap the ecu?". Pretty much checkmate after that.

Thank you to the admins/mods who did not moved this to gdd yet. I appreciate it.

 

You have a lot of cars in your sig.... where do you keep them all? I imagine you own a decent chunk of land? And highly doubt you live in the suburbs...

It make more sense to to sell someone a good ecu, That is why I sell the ecu, that I have been using.
Maybe u hear me wrong. let me rephrase it in an simple form
Im selling a working ecu, that is the end of my stories.

My thoughts. You used an obd2A and an obd2B ecu you make your car run correct? but the obd1 ecu had problems. I say before running to conclusions find a obd1 car and test the ecu on it to see if its bad or not that would eleminate the jumper harness (I have seen them go bad before).

 

if u was a good seller 007 u would jz refund his money back. that would be the good thing but who knows on h-t people jz dont like workin wit u
