uhmm i did drill a hole but what does the actual metal part of the cable go into ? the hole is for the gromet , im talking about the hard metal part of the cable it has to hook to somthing or the cable will just pull threw the firewall. is there a bracket that maybe mounts to the pedal assembly to hold the hard part of the cable

yea.... dont listen to this guy... drill a hole, use a very thick plate like one of your tow hooks to run the cable through before the firewall as the firewall will break, hook the cable to the pedal and adjust. i repeat, the firewall will rip like foil in time if its not braced well.
