temp needle bouncing?

Default temp needle bouncing?

so i was driving my car alot today and when i was on the highway, i noticed that my temp needle on the cluster was bouncing up and down from all the way down to half and then would just stay to its original position after...what would cause this..what would i need to change...

The sending unit for the temp gauge is located below the distributor. It has a one wire connector. Check whether the connector is loose, corroded, or oil soaked. If so, tighten it or clean it up.
