Default header advice help??

hi everyone.. i am planning on buying a header.. Yes i'm not planning on buying an expensive one as of now.. as of now i just dont have the money to buy top brands.. but am willing to buy one for around 400 and lower.. My reason being is b/c i really need a new header.. i bought my car with dc sports header and discovered there are 4 big dents on them.. and to replace them i am not looking forward to buying a really expensive header for i just want to fix that one so i wont be losing power at least.. and than later when i have enough go for a header that i've been dying for.. I was planning on just purchasing another dc sports header being 4-1.. i was wondering if i should go with another DC or does anyone have any other preference that will out beat dc sports on performance and quality. I want a good quality header for that 400ish decent price. please dont replay talking about stuff i dont want to hear.. i just want some opinions on what there is that i could buy besides DC unless DC is the only quality and proven performance than i will be happy to purchase one.. Please dont talk about being cheap and all for i already know what kind of header i will be shooting for down the road.. but has of now and my budget i just want advices on headers around 400 and below that are good on performance and yet quality enough.. Thanks guys!!!

what cat are you using? the jdm itr is a good header but you might want to find one with the jdm cat so you have a true bolt on setup. that is unless you already have a 2.5" cat

some of the replicas might make a couple more hp but you really have a hard time comparing one to the jdm itr in terms of quality. the itr is one SOLID piece.

JDM header +Test Pipe?+ oem b pipe. costs about 50 bucks, if you live in Cali save your DC and cat somewhere accessable in your garage for smog time. Just remember your car will smell like **** without a cat. or go down to your local muffler shop and have your cat modified to fit.

so even if i bought the jdm cat, wouldn't that still be a 2.5"? b/c i have a 2 and 1/4" exhaust pipe. thing is i know the test pipe works, but i dont want to eliminate my cat for its gonna be very loud. for some reason though i dont even have a full exhaust, (was like that when i bought the car) it only has the axle back and is very loud. i dont want to use a test pipe b/c it'll even be worse. so is jdm cat 2.5 all the way? on both sides? or how would i get this to work without eliminating the cat? thanks

rmf replica...under $400 and performs very well...jdm itr header is ok...not worth buying unless your buying a used for a good price, brand new there are much better headers for the buck

darn pretty hard decision b/c i know there are nice replicas. But i just i have this thing about replicas.. i have a feeling their not really good quality done and make leak somewhere and is why i dont really want replicas. Maybe down the road if i can buy a better, quieter exhaust i'll just go jdm.. unless someone has another preference. I read somewhere about greddy and how they are little bit lower in performance than jdm but little better than usdm, is that true? anyway if anyone has more header choices let me know i'll consider them.. planning on buying in june or july. yes its long aways but i like to plan ahead.. Thanks guys
