Forget 8s on 26's whose going for the 24.5 record
Not taking anything from Mr Tony 1, as he did a big thing bursting into the 8s on a 26. I know alot of guys will be chasing to beat that time this year. But there's another record I don't hear people speaking much of, the record held by Felix aka Gato and Team Agressive. They hold 24.5 record of 9.1 at 164 (correct me if I'm wrong), is record Outlaw trim but on a 24.5 or Sfwd trim,. We will be campaining a car this year, we will be chasing that dream of beating the 9.1 in Sfwd trim. Wondering, who esle will be chasing the 24.5 record, what is the Sfwd trim record, also do you guys think anyone will break 8s on 24s this year.
I'd like to see cars going fast on 24.5's, it would mean more cars at the track out there having fun and racing.
The track prep and conditions would be important. It would be nice if the events took the track prep seriously for the import races.

I dont think felix went a .10, i believe it was a .2x but I too could be wrong.
The 24.5" tire class is great, and this year should be fun once things really get going for the 24.5" tire guys.

ya millers right ...
Most people here don't need 26" tire , And yes you can go faster because you can put the power down much sooner . The 24.5 is so much better on parts , It is only a matter of dilling it in . I went 9.25 @ atco in the winter I know my car will go low teens at 2500 pounds. Some of you here just need to work on it .

I think SFWD is dead! Also I dont think air to water is considered SFWD so tell Gato to go back to air to air and do that!
Just funny how some people make their own category!
Do it on sfwd trim no air to water and 24.5's and you got my respect!
AMEN!
T1 went 8's Air to Air

Yea,i dont think it was 9.1,unless hes done some under the radar testing recently.I "THINK"the best time is 9.2 @16X???Not to jump on the bandwagon, but Tony1 has ran 9.2's on 24.5s.I personally think the 24.5 is only gonna be able to take us so far in SPFWD trim, unless were allowed some crazy suspension setup and/or wheelie bars.Thats just my .02,if anybody got a better idea please let us know.
I do think its possible, but by whos rules? Most of the local events over here there is no weight limit and when you can get a car down to 2100 lbs wth driver it is alot easier.
Someone will do it, it is just going to be someone dedicated to the 24.5" tire. Just like someone will go 8.50 on a 26".

I predict with a couple new innovative things that will be available this year will help get the 24.5 tire get into the 8s. Like miller said, it has to be someone dedicated to just using the 24.5 and has the car setup just for that. It'll happen, I dont doubt it.

I went 9.27 on 24.5's, with an air/ air ic. I am almost positive Felix also went 9.27, I don't think anyone has been quicker on the 24.5.
i plan on sticking with the 24.5's. see how fast i can get the car.. worst case i'll try some wheelie bars before 26's since im allowed to run them in nscra trim
i got my bnib 24.5x9 mickeys ready to go, idk i think if anybody is gonna do it there is going to have to be alot of good drivin, lots of traction and alot of power!

I went 9.26 at atco and had to get out off it in 4th. I think it can go 9.0xx on a good track @ 2500 pounds , It's not impossible to go 8's but you need dedication to make it happen and i lost that already .
