Ok i was redoing my hood, i sanded the whole hood down till i saw metal. I got black primer, spray painted that one and it look nice like that, because i wanted to get a flat black look. But i had some flat black paint so after like 20mins i started to spray that on. And the final results was horrible all i see it my spray painted streaks. and some parts are like more darker then the other. So what should i do sand it again, and forget the primer and just put the flat black paint on. Or just sand it and just primer it again?
Yeah, the only real way to get good results would be to use an HVLP gun or similar. IF you MUST use a spray can, you should sand it down again back to the primer then wipe it up and prep it, then shoot the paint out of the can, and make sure it goes on wet, leading with a wet edge as you spray, have a friend shake a can of paint while you paint and switch cans with him every so often.
Best advise for you .
This is my car and it was done at my shop .
This the Base coat gun and not sanded yet .

is that what you are looking for ?
this is what it looks like now

well im just showing you how using a gun makes a difference .

I'm just curious: what guns (relatively economicly) would you guys suggest? I just got laid off and so I will have time, but won't have a lot of money
