Takeda Intake for '06+ Civic Si released. Steep power gain claims!
An applications link from their website with dyno, photos, video, etc.

Apparently one of our own.....zeusone....has this intake. The numbers seem pretty high for just a SRI....17HP and 16ft./lbs. tq. Was wondering if anybody had any insight on this company and if these numbers are in anyway accurate. And if so...what are they doing differently with their intake design to produce such good numbers??
Here's the video from the website apparently with zeusone's car on the dyno doing some pulls.

I can't stand videos that do dyno runs and then don't show the results in the same shot right after the dyno run. Kinda takes away from the believability of the claim.

i think im gona buy one. then go dyno my injen, then slap the takeda on and see if theres a power difference. maybe its the built in velocity stack??
heres some insight. the current guy thats running Takeda worked for Injen, then he left them to start Fujita. he was one of the originators of Fujita, he then left Fujita. now hes starting up Takeda with the help of AFE,
so he knows his stuff. the company is brand new and just recently started. they are still making intakes for various cars.
I hope we see a dyno soon, I've been looking into getting an intake, but I think i'm going to wait for my car to get its first oil change.
Second, would I be able to switch it to the stock filter for warranty purposes? Or is there anything the intake will do to give itself away that I was using it? I mean it sounds like it wouldn't, but XBOX won't fix your XBOX if they notice a slight smudge on your input.
Haha, well doing all this stuff isn't that hard... getting the degree is the hard part.
I'm about to finish a double in Mechanical and Material science, both are perfect for this kind of stuff. If you guys ever wanted to make little custom metal parts for your cars, you guys should learn how to use SolidWorks, really cool CAD 3D modeling program you can use to CnC things with.

yeah, the only way I can see it giving more than 17HP is 1. if it has its own AC externally welded outside of your car or 2 magic beans have used to create the filter which causes air to instantly be at 0 degrees when it passes through.
Man I'm hoping it's true though, wouldn't even mind if it was a 15whp gain.
