Default B-pillar seat belt for CRX

Hey guys, sort of new to Honda's but not new to cars at all (been working on them for over 20 years).

I have searched for this can really can't find an exact answer, hopefully what will happen is 12 people will say, shut up n00b, use the search, we are tired of answering this same question over and over.... But if this can be avoided and someone really answer my question, intelligently, I would be very appreciative.

So the actual question is what B-pillar seat belts will work in a 1990 CRX HF (that currently has the seat-belts/retractors in the doors)? I plan on getting them from the junk-yard and sometimes they don't have CRX's (especially HF's), so what other model Civic, Integra, Honda will have B-pillar seat belts that are compatible with a 1990 CRX HF?

Thanks to those who actually answer this question with out giving me crap about uising the search feature or being a n00b....

the hatchback ones would probably work. perhaps prelude too.
it is smarter to just get the crx ones though, along with the door cards.
i got lucky. i am in canada, where there is no door mounted seatbelts. haha.

Thanks for replying... At least you didn't say use the search feature.

I would think any Honda of similar years should work fine, as long as I have the seat belt and the mounting hardware. Anyone else?

Well, they shouldn't change too much. Actually, I recall talking to someone at an auto wrecker, taking the seat belt retracting mechanism, belt, buckle etc from an ef hatch to use in their prelude.

If all else, you might be able to order CRX pillar seatbelts from the dealer$hip.

Thanks again for the info about getting them from the stealership, but I am going to end up getting this from a junk yard, and if I can't find them there, then I will just leave it be. I am trying to lighten the car up somewhat... And besides these damn seat belt retractors have probably seen better days....

I got mine from from 92-95 civic hatch at junk yard. I would recommend yanking on all of them and test to see if they still function before taking them. For the same reason, most seat belts from CRX are too old and are not retracting properly, if at all, so getting the assemblies from newer models makes more sense. Unless you buy new from the dealer.

You'll have to drill a few extra holes and weld the nuts to attach the belts to the pillars. 7/16 - 20 nuts from the Home Depot, if I recall correctly.

Thanks man, that's what I wanted to hear... Did they still click in the orginal belt retainers, that are attached to the floor board (by the e-brake)?

They clicked into mine, which are on the seat rails by the way, since it's 90-91.

I know you searched already but I swear I remember a pretty detailed write-up with pictures of someone doing this conversion. Anyway, it was a long time ago and i'm too lazy to find it so I guess i'm no help. Good luck with it, B-pillar seat belts ftw.
