First off I have done a search and can't find the info. that I need. I am curious for those of you who have done a USDM swap into your 5th gen did you use the Prelude H22 engine harness or the Accord engine harness? All of the info. that I can find is for a JDM swap and I know that you have to use an accord harness for that one unless you had a prelude harness laying around. I am kicking the idea around of doing a USDM 96+ non-SH OBD II swap in my 97 special edition coupe. Again all the info I have is for a JDM swap and they didn't have a USDM prelude harness. I assume that the under hood engine harness plugs are the same. I just need a confirmation. Thanks for the help.....

 

i think its the accord harness from what ive read, but im not sure, i havent done the swap yet.

 

If you are doing a USDM H22a into an accord then by all means use the Prelude harness.

 

Thanks for the confirmation. I thought they would work but no one said they had done it. Now to find a nice low mileage OBD II swap. Guess I will go out to Larry's tomorrow and see what he has. Nice living about 5 minutes from import auto salvage. Again thanks for the info....

 

prelude harness doesnt match up to the accord chassis harness.

 

may need both. prelude for the lugs, connectors, etc and the accord for the actual harness and chassis compatability.

 

hey bud i have a 96 accord and doing a 96 usdm h22 swap within the next two-three weeks. ill post all my info as i do it. but as far as i understand i need to use the accord harness and make a few changes...

 

Let me know all that you can on this swap. My car is a non-vtec now so let me know all that you can. I have done many civic swaps but this is a first for me....

 

ive never heard that before, u learn something new everyday.

 

use the accord one and just add the vtec/knock sensor wires
