building a z6 for my hatch, setup is as follows:

75.5mm z6
vitaras and eagles
stock head/im
lovefab ramhorn
2.5" turbo back no cat magnaflow muffler
mitsubishi tdo5hl 15t off a saab viggen
dsm 450s and a walbro.
arp studs

id like to hit 300 whp with this setup, anyone do it in the past? i know the turbos can make easy mid to high 200whp range but will it die off too much up top?
i do have a 3 bar map so i can run lots of boost, but where would it start to really become inefficient. just trying to get a gauge for what to expect

 

i seriously doubt that turbo will make 300whp on a d series

 

no you wont get close with it. you need at least something sized like an 18g to hit clsoe to 300

 

That turbo will be singin it's death song if you get close to 300whp. Also, your IATs will be sky high making it impossible to reach that goal on pump fuel. Get something larger or lower your goals...

 

you'll be lucky to hit 250 with that, even TD06H (big 16G) will have a hard time getting 275whp.

 

I think you'll be maxing out the turbo and injectors before hitting 300whp with that set up.

300 can be attained on 450cc injectors, its just not something i would want to do everyday. the post was made just to see. im not going to push this setup, as the car is for sale and i need the money to help for house down payment. its running around 7 psi off the wastegate currently, will probably double that on high boost setting to ensure a good tune then go back down to 12 or so psi. i'd like to see 225/200 somewhere in there as a general current goal. response is good tho, it hits 7psi low in the 3000 range

 

my crx/z6 made 300 with a big 16g and 310 with a bastard 20g , 450 cc injectors and scat rods and srp pistons. i did upgrade to 750s later but the 450s was fine at 300 just turned the fuel pressure up a little.

 

But with a 15t, no, it won't not be done

 

i have seen a handful of 15g greddy kits hit 300.

i am hopeing for 250-275 with my greddy 15g kit. I guess ill see when i get tuned in two weeks.
