depin A22 when using aem ems? OBD1

Default depin A22 when using aem ems? OBD1

hello everyone,

i just got a aem ems and i saw on ffsquad site that it is needed to depin pin A22 (ICM) from the connector.

can anyone confirm it is required? heres the link :

Look in your installation instruction file for that particular ECU. I believe the big old 1000 boxes needed something like that done.

well i looked at the manual and it says nothing about this pin, on the other hand you can see in the diagram that its not "dedicated"

Well just de-pin it whether to be safe. I'm not sure whether the newer boxes require it either, but it's very easy to de-pin, and it's not necessary for either the stock ECU or the EMS.

Have you even checked whether your harness has that pin there?
