UPDATE!!! Turbo gsr s300 w/ M&W ign. datalogging not working?
UPDATE
Turbo gsr motor, hondata s300 and using a m&w ign. w/ crane coil. When trying to datalog live while the car is running, it only will work for about 15 seconds and then freeze up. What are some things that I can start looking for to trouble shoot? Am I only looking for interference with the 12+ constant and ground, or do I need to look for interference with the tach? I am using shielded wire for power, ground, and to the coil. Also is routing these wire's make a difference also? Any help would be appreciated as this is very frustrating having to turn the car off and having to download the stored datalogs.

if you read on t1 website about the ign it says... ""We recommend mounting the ignition box in the engine bay near the coil, away from the ECU and the main wire harness. The ignition boxes are very powerful and can put out a lot of RF noise, it's best to keep them away from sensitive trigger wires on the ecu""..........
That might be the problem maybe.

Make sure you have resistor spark plugs and decent plug wires.
Make sure the coil and cdi box are not mounted near the main harness or ecu and that the harness (power/ground and coil +/-)does not run parallel with the main harness.

It was mounted in the glove box and at first it didn't work and then all of a sudden it started to work right before I blew the motor. Put a new motor in and decided to wire tuck it. I moved it to where the sensor box for the airbag used to be, under the dash, in the middle. I bought it from the Revline here in KC.
Thanks for that info, I will try that and see what happens.
I have Ngk 7 spark plugs and ngk wires
I did the complete opposite what you just said Tony. I will try to do what eveyone has recommended and see where I stand from there. Thanks for all the help so far.

I moved the fuse box that was under the hood, to where the passenger side air bag was, could I mount the m&w where the fuse box used to be next to the battery?

Mount the M&W box up near the passenger headlight area if at all possible. Keep it the hell away from the firewall, we've been down this road..
I use NGK non-resistor 8's and 9's with S300 and the M&W in a few different cars, and as long as the M&W is in front of the shocktower, no problems at all. Blame it all on Tony1.

Thats funny. Thanks for the heads up on mounting it in front of the shock tower. That saves me from putting it by the battery next to the firewall. I'll have to find something to cushion it where I mount it on the body.
I have come across a few cars that no matter what I did with the m&w ignition the car would not datalog live. Once I uninstall the m&w all is fine. I know about the interference and yada yada yada, but these few cars no matter what I do they will not log live. I have tried everything and I am not sure as to why they do i but they do.
I just internally log while on the dyno and pull the log and do it that way. Its more of a pain but there is nothing you can do and this way will work fine.

Miller, well that's not very hopeful. You even swapped out different m&w boxes? Did you swap out differen't s300's also to see if that might have been the problem?
Here's the thing though, the shop which I go to used to own the car and had no problems what so ever datalogging. And when I had the old motor in I used all the exact wiring and mounted it in the glove box like they had it. And it wouldn't do it then. But for whatever reason I think I hit a wrong key by mistake (f10) and it started to datalog just fine. Up until I blew my motor up at the track.
Now it will start to datalog for a while while idling. But sometimes it will just stop and I have to reconnect the usb cable or it will be fine when idling and when i go to give it gas it stops also. At first I thought it might be the cable but jiggling it doesn't seem to set it off.
Mystery's, Mystery's I'll try to figure it out this weekend and report back.

Well I mounted it near the crane coil and all my problems went away. I'd like to thank all those that responded and helped me.
I tried different s300's, different m&w boxes everything on these few select cars. I am not sure as to why they do it but they do. Like I said do the internal log and what the wideband by eye to make sure **** doesnt go crazy then lift the log and go from there. Its a little more of a pain in the *** but its really not that bad.
I guess some cars like to be difficult. Fortunately I lucked out and it worked. It makes tuning drivability so much better.
