Default b16 sitting too low in crx

Well i bought a crx today and i noticed the engine sits pretty low. Is this common on crx with b16 swaps?

They don't generally sit very low. But depends where your referencing from.

seems strange that an B or D series would fit low since there is not fitment issues. do the engine mounts look fine?

like sp33 said, picture = 1000 words.

make a photobucket.com account and post alot of pictures so we can see what you are dealing with. also be sure to do wheel wells, ur car is probably dropped.

Alright imma try to take some pics today. Also when im goin fast and start to slow down fast my car starts rumbling. Could the axles be bad? Or is it something with my brakes. Because I slow down fine but the front of the car starts rumbling.

It depends on what kind of mounts you are using also. If you are using Ebay special than thats your problem. If its Hasport or Innovative mounts then it shouldn't sit low at all.

Oh alright cause i got the car with the swap in it already. But i think it might be the mounts cause they look cheap. I will take a money shot and some pics from the bottom of the car.

^ nice avatar...

The "rumbling" could be a lot of things. Bad ball joints, warped rotors, worn out bushings on the suspension (including the radius rods).

ahhhhh it may be prob the ball joints. when i start slowing down at high speeds the car rumbles and to me it feels like it has something to do with my brakes or the suspension. imma check all the bushings in the front of the car

sounds like your valves are ticking and need adjustment. also your belt looks a bit loose

Well I read that if you have any B-series in an CRX or civic you have to upgrade the coiloversw to because the engine is goin to be heaveyer.

That is a ridiculous myth.

Your timing is likely off.

x2. a new set and a valve adjustment will get rid of that. and get rid of that huge JG manifold...it's really going to hurt more than it will help.
