Default Jdm crx visor installation

ok so i got tired of having the 90-91 civic ventshade visors on my crx, mainly because they are cracked. i went to honda to get installation instructions, i know they are not available for the crx anymore, for a newer 08 civic. but i wanted to see if anyone knew how to install these on our crx? i know there are clips and 2 sided tape but how do i install the clips? i ordered them from a seller on ebay and all his feedback from people he sold other visors to were satisfied, and they are oem.

If they're anything like my ones then you just push them on.

Ok so then just position them and press them on. That's what I was thinking but I didn't wanna chance breaking them. I'll post pics once they arrive

The clips are metal, if you hold up your pointer finger and your thumb to make a |_| shape, that's kinda what the clips look like, they push over the top line of the doors. Mine were OEM still in the box, and i still had to bend a couple of them to fit more snug.

yeah they just push on except for the back clip that you will need to remove the black outside door pillar garnish (3 screws, be careful one of the parts where the screw goes into broke on me probably because it had never been taken off) and slip it under the weather stripping. i used super glue to fix the garnish. really easy install maybe 5-10 mins.

i think they sent me the wrong ones but oh well. my window visors dont meet the mirrors (about 1 inch gap). i think they sent me the set for power folding mirrors. oh well i guess now i gotta get those!

did you get the the black gum that goes on the clips to help them stick? you wouldn't need to bend them if you did

Do they come in the box? If so then they're probably still in there. If they came seperate then i don't have them.

Don't know, it was taped inside the box and the Instruction didn't say anything about it either.

I did also about 4 years ago

It came with two packets. I know that its for the clip because I had bought some JDM EF9 SiR doors and it had broken visors on them. when i pulled them from it that gum was on the clips.

well it reminds me of antique puddy. it doesn't harden at all and stays soft but sticky

yeah you will be all right. I think its for just a little extra hold because there is no tape there and it holds it snug.

like how ~SP33~ said he had to bend the clips

Sounds like it's just to apply to the clips, kinda like blue tack but softer i would imagine.

I'll have to scrounge through the boxes and see if i left anything in there.

i didnt have to bend my clips and they fit just fine. you dont need the glue i dont think. i have not had any issues yet and it has rained with no leaks.

came home to find a slip in my door saying a package was waiting for me at the post office. hoped for my visors but sadly they were just the HID's for my EJ8

so the wait continues for my visors to come in.
