My work brings me around the world and to FR many times a year, but this time I happen to be in the Principalataaaay Du Monaco !!!

My work has been crazy, and although I have been testing some new gear I have not had the time to report on it ,,, or even download any pictures!! I am sitting here for over a week so I can take this opportunity to post some cool pics from the Principalataaaay ( i cant stop saying that ) and to give some details of stuff I have been working on.

First some cool pics. Sure I have run the Monaco GP many times -- on playstation , but it was pretty cool to walk the track in reality. It is over a week before the GP and already there are tour groups walking the track ( which is partially sectioned off ) , grand stands are set up and F1 fever is everywhere!!

First pic is just before the last 2 turns ( just before pit entrance )

Second is the Casino. The track runs right by it

3rd pic is going into the famous tunnel and the fourth pic is from the historic museum next to some bad *** Le Mans car ( the museum was closed, but they left the doors open!?!? I just walked in and took pics with the first thing that looked fast !

Come on already! If you were truly supporting your sponsors efforts... you would at least have some hot babes wearing some t-shirts or at least just post photos of the girls. Must I explain all the etiquette for R&R in Monaco?

 

I would like to take this hatch out for a lap or 2,,, i believe its a Clio-Sport. One of my favorite cars in Gran Turismo

Ill have some more pics up tonight, I went and jogged the track today ( ok well walked really fast ). Its pretty kewl to see the track coming to life. Today they put the driver/team names up on the garages and some more fencing around the course.

This weekend there should be lots of equipment arriving so it should be really fun.

Additionally I now have the time to do a full review of the Mfactory suspension I tested last week. !!! Great results

There should be some better car pics coming by this weekend as stuff arrives. Tomorrow I will get some pics of the yachts along the back straight. They are lined up all the way down, each one is worth around 35M !!! What a perfect place to watch the race from.

Its late Saturday night here and the teams are just showing up with haulers!!

I got the first pic of a Red Bull crewmember getting ready to unload

I snapped some more pics today and tonight . I have never seen so many Ferrari's in one place,,especially without a car show going on. Several of the car pics were in front of the Casino.

In front of the Fairmont Hotel (which is adjacent to the tightest turn in Formula 1) I took a picture of the smallest vehicle ( smart car ) and the largest ( tour bus ) navigating the tight turn.

The carbon brakes of a Ferrari california ( i think ?) caught my eye

Some other interesting things.. there is an olympic sized pool right next to the pits. I have never seen that before.

And check out the line of Yachts along the back straight,, each is worth over 35M

I am going out to take more pics now ,,, its morning here. Im not sure if i posted this pic yet ,, but I love the statue in the upper right

 

Its 9am , and the teams started to assemble the cars today.

Just like a pro karting team, they bring out a bunch of specially made cases and within hours cars start to appear.

The Toyota's were already assembled and covered up, although without the front and rear wings

Lewis Hamiltons car was well under way of assembly ,

The Ferrari's were not out yet, and Force India was coming together

 

Wow looks like such a good time enjoy yourself.

 

This reminds me of a typical Honda Challenge weekend. Last race everyone's car was in pieces. Hopefully this weekend will be the opposite. 25 cars all working and great battles. Everyone with smiles. OH, TIME TO WAKE UP
