Icon6 89 CRX SI Running 5-7k RPMS on IDLE!! HELP

OH god. I just ordered a different throttle body because ours seemed jacked up, we replaced it and put it on and now it's running 5-7k rpms!
Before we replaced it, it was going from 2k-3k, rpms.
Can anyone assist with some information please?
Thanks!
[possible leaks?]
I'll take pictures if need be.

wouldnt make a difference....i just dropped in a z6 outta a 94 ex in my ef, and it barley makes the car throw the wtf code. try cleaning the t/b and the iacv/fitv valve. also take a look at the idle air screw.

the throttle cable is fine, and the vacuum hoses are connected, and wtf is a dashpot? no check engine light and how do you bleed the cooling system?

look where the top hose going INTO the left side of the motor. theres a small screw that looks like a nipple. run the car while its just barley starting to warm up and the thermostat should open up and let water through. if you waste any coolant/water in the process, just fill'er back up

dashpot slows the idle from droping when letting off the gas or putting it in neutral. its on the front side of the intake manifold (furthest away from the firewall) and has a vacuum line going to it and a tab goin to the throttle body spring. if adjusted too high or not connected it will shoot the rpms up really high

I see, i'll go ask my girlfriends dad(he's the mechanic here) about it.
perhaps that's why but it could not be it because if it was like the last throttle body it'd only be throwing 2k-3k like before, maybe i just need to replace a gasket. i used silocone.. ONLY so maybe that's why?

the thing is i can't even run it it pops up to 5k-7k rpms regardless and if i barely throw the acceleration cable it sticks and flys to redline and the only way to stop it is to turn off the car.
i might not understand what you mean about barely starting to warm up

well that would make sense if u sealed the tb w/ rtv. go buy a gasket and change it. my guess is that there are 2 problems. one was idling at 2k and the next was idling at 5k, so it seems like the gasket is leaking. fix that one then move to the next. theres really no way of texting it for a leak cus ur gonna blow ur motor before anything

A lot of sellers on eBay won't give you your money back if they can replace it. Get his replacement and if that one is bad then attempt to get your money back. GL
