one of my brothers friends had a prelude and it caught on fire in the parking lot and from wat he's tellin me all i'd have to do is re wire everything and it should be good i own a 97 civic ex and was lookin more towards a b18c but don't have the money he told me to find out wat the engines worth and i could have it for that now my question to you guys is... is it even worth the headache or can it be done, and if so how much is it worth thanks ahead of time

 

it will be fast but it can be an expensive swap. your gonna need new axles a tranny mounts and a couple other things that i cant think of. i sold my 22 for 450.

 

yeah i'll try and upload pics of wat it looks like i haven't even seen the engine yet... but i'm jsut not sure howbad the wiring will be never mest with h series

 

I don't think wiring is a big deal, use the wire harness that's in your civic, you should only need a few plugs from prelude harness.
I paid 500 for my h22, came with wrong trans and I had it rebuilt for boost.

 

DOOOOO ITTTTT! I'm doing an h22a swap on my crx now. It costs more than some swaps. But really, a gsr swap isn't all that far off from a h swap. You can even do the h2d or h2d swap and retain your shift linkage setup and short gearing.... Just my $.02

 

Whoops, sorry meant h2d or h2b...... The adapter setup is pricey, but you don't need aftermarket mounts then.

 

yeah but how much shold i be willing to pay this kid for the engine i mean i haven't seen it but from wat he says it's just the wiring
