Default LSD question

Hi.
My car is civic 92 EG6 with b16a2 engine, power steering with 3,2 LTL, full set of energy suspension bushings. After installation of obx lsd the car became very nervous at high speed - over 70mph. It is stable but steers very fast with small steering wheel change. At slower speed everything is OK but at higher speeds the things goes worse. I went to wheel alignment but everything was ok.
Is that normal? Is there a way to fix this? Help?

The second ptroblem after installing the LSD that car has a little torque steer. I feel it on high speed. Is the torque steer normal? It is very sensitive to tyre pressure, too. The difference more then 0,3bar in the front tyres make the driving at high speed impossible.

The alignment sheet:

hmmm... odd situation... need more details. Is it a first generation obx lsd? if so, did you take it apart and check everything? also. Have there been any suspension/chassis changes since the install?

What is the difference between two generations? There are no suspension/chassis changes after LSD installation.

if anything, an lsd should eliminate torque steer, not make it worse. it sounds like something's up with your lsd. did you do anything to the lsd before installing it? i've heard that you need to reshim obx lsd's because they don't do it properly at the factory.

same guess i had. it's the obx run out. when i changed over to a new {literally out of the honda box} ITR transmission from my GSR box the car was more stable at speed, faster out of corners and of course had more traction. i considered the obx for my gsr box but wound up with a great deal on this new itr box. i'll tell ya what though, before i almost bought an lsd and it was not an obx. sellers in japan will ship you an oem honda itr pull out for slightly less than an obx. from my eyes it was obx vs honda....easy choice.

it's used though. i wouldn't buy a used lsd, they do wear out.

Because this is very expencive for an old used part. I think that the obx is much stronger than oem lsd.

The steering is very jerky, abrupt with very small wheel change but this is only at high speed. 3,2 LTL power steering rack is OEM rack for EDM EG6. I did't change the rack.
I tried with 195/55/15 - 2,5bars on the front and 2,2bars on the rear, after that i install wilood BBK and the tyres are 205/40/17 Pirelli PZero nero - 2,8bars on the front and 2,3 on the rear. May be the problem is a little bigger with 17" tyres.

I know there were workmanship problems with the first generations. like the outer bolts on opposite sides of each other would vary in torque drastically. some of the bolts would be stripped from being installed sideways or even the entire case would be lopsided. new hardware and they were "ok" but the 2nd generation like the one i have right now is supposed to be a direct quaife knockoff. Which doesnt hurt my feelings for the price difference. it performs great.

did you ever disassemble the unit? maybe the washers inside the unit are stacked all fubared.

I would think you would want this thread in the Tranny/Drivetrain forum. I know there are a few threads on OBX LSD's in there. Let me know if you want it moved there.

I did find this (pics don't work unfortunately) https://honda-tech.com/forums/transmission-drivetrain-127/how-field-strip-obx-lsd-1752849/

Which also contains this link: http://rbryant.freeshell.org/obx_washers
