Thanks.
E-mail opak racing, send them a list of your mods and pictures of your car. If they think your car is good enough then they will ask you for $65 to get your car register.

You know what? I have a feeling this Spoon certification thing is an Opak thing, and its not even "kosher" with Spoon. Im going to have my GF call spoon for me and see if they even know opak is doin this. sounds crazy i know, but that badge looks generic, like something they would put on one of their shortblocks, and that paper is just printed up by Opak. so....what would stop them from getting a stack of metal spoon tags, printing up these bogus papers, and charging young, impressionable kids 85 dollars, and numbering them?

hugest scam ever. think about it. the real spoon website says NOTHING about it, not from what i saw.

33-220-3411 is their number.

OP, im not knocking you one bit, your car is great looking. i just think there is something going on with this "opak spoon certification" thing.

Having 2 threads right by each other, both with this new trendy "certification" in the title...i have to agree with you on this one. I have a feeling we'll see more and more people looking for CRED and REP with their certified spoon rides.

Nothing towards you OP, your hatch is very clean and well put together, actually not much i don't like about it

Sorry, but this information is false. Opak Racing has directly partnered with Spoon Sports of Japan to be their US affiliate. Opak Racings CEO and President Edmun Laurea worked directly with Spoon owner Tatsura Ichishima to compile a strategy to increase marketing and sales in the US. Aside from several racing ventures, this certification process will stimulate sales and interest.

You state it isn't posted on their website, but if you look at Spoon US based website you'll see in the "about us" section that the company credit name listed is Opak Racing-Spoon Sports.us.

http://www.spoonsports.us/aboutus.asp

Granted, this certification process is a bit of a marketing scheme, but the fact is there is a standard in place and it is something unique....for the time being. You don't need your girlfriend to call Japan directly, call Spoon US and they'll tell you all about it. Furthermore, this partnership was featured in HCI magazine quite extensively, months back. Opak is much more than a vendor.

ive also read somewhere that if you tell your insurance company about the certification and the parts youve purchased that if it gets totalled you get a much larger amount of money than you normally would. plz clarify this. and OP, nice hatch. whats the size and offest of the wheels?

This is one of the reasons i bought into certification. We all know how expensive Spoon parts are. It's kinda of like having a second insurance for the money invested in the parts alone. Because when it comes down to it, the insurance company will ask for reciets and documentation. The problem is, some of us have been purchasing Spoon parts for years now and the prices have gone up since then. So with this certification, the ins. can verify all the parts purchased. Hopefully the price increase on the parts would be covered.

ok, so the only thing i was wrong about is that Spoon DOES know about what Opak is doing.

this is absolutely ridiculous lol. whatever. its like peoples minds get weaker everyday.

That Accord is clean as *#%k if it's the same one yr talkin about. The black one I assume. It's not like Spoon makes alot of parts for the Accord anyway. Hell the calipers alone are over a grand.

LOL...well, I suppose you should scold any company that creatively markets their products? That's kind of the goal in business.

Look at PasswordJDM...they have their damn name on everything. Hey, it's clean, it adds to the resale value of the car, possibly adds to insurance claims if theived or wrecked...what's wrong with it.

Post your car then Mr. Critical Conan.
