Default Converting rear sedan handles

Ive read, or heard of the idea of taking rear sedan door handles and using them as front door handles with a keyless entry for extra security, is there any simplicity in doing this? And has anybody done it before and would like to share, such as goods and cons ect. or even HOW TO

i was about to say that. its easy but idk if i did it wrong....i just kind of stretched the front metal bar to make it seat right for a smooth opening/closing. i didnt need to ask the whole world for how to do it. it was that easy.

alright but what if i have an lx sedan with power locks? i want to get an extra set of rear handles so i can put them on the front.

but how do you get around the stupid driverside front door NOT locking/unlocking with the keyless entry? im sure you guys know what i mean, the driver door lock and ONLY lock/unlock with the key, or from inside while the door is closed. its some stupid security feature.

well your supposed to hold onto the inside door handle to lock the car, so it should be the same when you open it. haha.

well yea i know that, THATS THE PROBLEM. there is no point to have keyless entry if the driver door doesnt pop unlocked.

i want to REMOVE THAT FEATURE!

I think youre confused. The driver's door will lock and unlock with a keyless entry feature when the door is closed with or without the keylock rod. Removing the keylock rod wont effect anything. Of course with the driver's door open, you wont be able to lock the door with or without a keyless entry. But why arm the car when a door is open in the first place...

The point of this mod is to remove the lock/unlock function for the key. The door will still function as normal wether you have keyless, power, non power, door poppers... etc.

dude my driverside door does not unlock/lock with the remote, and duh the door is closed when i do this. i have to press the unlock button to de-activate the alarm/unlock the other three doors, then use my key to unlock the driver side.

Oh, well that sucks. LOL. Did you do the rear handle mod yet and how is your alarm wired for the door lock control?

*edit... does the master switch lock and unlock all the doors or just the other 3?

i have electronic locks on my CRX and i just put on only the passenger side. even with the power locks it still works. No matter what you really need to have a key on atleast 1 door so that way it works. i mean yeah you can do all the doors, but if all goes down hill your SOL

Ok Im 99% sure your door lock solenoid is bad. Pick Your Part is having a 50% off sale this month 22nd-25th. Hit that up plenty of LX's to be had.

I hard wired all of mine. running SPAL power windows and locks, and then using a 4door master switch to power the locks and windows. if one doesnt work, they all dont work lol and if i am really mad at some one, i can keep them from rolling the window up or down and keep them form unlocking the doors hahahaha
