Well i have a 97 ex, its completly stock, got it from an old guy a few years ago, not modded at all, anyway

Sometimes when i start the car up in the morning and let it warm up, and go to give it gas, it feels like it dosnt wanna move, or like the E brake is up and im trying to go and it dont wanna move, but then if i put it in park and back into drive it will be fine..

also after driving home from work the other day, i was going to slow down to make a lieft, and by the time i made a complete stop i noticed the steering wheel being hard to turn, and then i noticed the car wasnt even running, but it started right back up..

I think it may be a trans problem because sometimes when i give it gas it feels like the car drops into a lower gear, then back into a higher gear

 

Is the automatic transmission fluid (ATF) low?

When did you last replaced the ATF?

Is the CEL ON or the D4 dash light blinking?

Is the idle speed low when the engine is hot? It should be 700-800 rpm.

When was your last basic tune up (plugs, wires, cap, rotor)?
