I am looking into getting a new set of rims.

And saw that I can get many in 15x8 with 40mm offset. Could I run a 245/50/15 tire on this rim without any fender rub, or would it stick outside of the wheel well?

I am putting down 195whp now, and I'll be boosted to over 300 within six months. Will this wide of a tire help me keep traction, because right now with 195 tires I can breaking loose fourth, and I can't be having that.

 

give us a rundown of your drive terrain setup right now and your motor/trans combo. i think to effectively give you a good answer we need this information. if your spinning your tires in 4th with 195 whp there is something either wrong or entirely right!?

my vote currently would be to get some stickier compound tires instead of wider.
