B16 1st gen install please look at this pic what did i do wrong.
ok i installed my b16 1sty gen this is a pic of the dist side of the cyl head where the hasport sub harness plugs in, ok this is my question the plug you see not connected is the one i don't know what to do w/.... i think it's a temp sensor but i have the knock sensor plug on the subharness plugged into it... i don't believe it's right.... is it? if not how do i fix the problem.
I dont think the 1st gen b16 had a knock sensor.. (am I wrong ?) and the plug thats left over is deffinelty the one that goes in its place.
yeah i just did the smart thing and searched for pics of a knock sensor, the hasport harness is definately in the wrong spot there it should be at the knocksensor under the intake manifold... answered my own question. that is the temp sensor. there
Knock sensor is under the #2 cylinder intake runner on the back of the block near the top of the block.
one of the hasport connections is longer then the other three.. you plugged it into that area in the pic.. it needs to be plugged into the back of the block..
I did the same thing.
I did the same thing.

Right now I'm, running the USDM cluster with the d series VSS. I have the jdm cluster, but I havent got around to installing it yet. It's not bad with the USDM cluster, I'm in no hurry to put in the SiR one. Just my opinion.
Edit: I'm trying to have as little guages as possible in my car, I think it draws unecessary attention. But when I boos, I'm, going to have to have a bunch of gauges anyway.

I went with an aftermarket tach in my car... white faced 3.75" Autometer... Looks nice, not too gawdy. Matches my GReddy boost, EGT, and Oil pressure gauges nicely.
