Default motor mount problems

so my friend gave me the 01 civic ex 5 speed and he crashed the car but fixed it i guess he forgot to put the tranny mount and now all the motor mounts are broken the front left and the one in the front middle. The worse part is were the bolts go in it looks like its cracked on the engine block due to high rpm....is there any way of fixing it without gettin a whole new engine? do motor mount inserts work also? or does itgive it more vibration? any advice is much apprecaited

ummmm, well if that many bolt holes are cracked off, I'd just get a new motor. The whole motor is $350 or less, and it'll cost you far more than that in welding... not to mention you'd have to strip the block bare to weld it all anyways.

Aftermarket motor mounts will definitely make it vibrate more. The stiffer inserts prevent the motor from moving as much during hard accelerations and decelerations, which will allow the drive train to more efficiently put more power to the ground. As for the bolt holes in the block for the mounts, I think you are SOL. Can you post any pics?
