ok i have a 92 civic vx. Supposedly the first owner (i'm the third) swapped the motor and trans. I know that the car came with the d15z1. Is there any way for me to find out whats in it now? Are there serial numbers or anything stamped on the motor somewhere?


Any help is greatly appreciated.

yes, look about mid way up the motor and where the tranny and engine meet should be a block on the motor with a number stamped on it, D15Z1, D16Z6, ect.
