Default Light Preassure Turbo Type S

I decided to go Turbo on my JDm Spec Type S Prelude.

My garage can do for me a light preassure turbo around .5 Boost Bar... with light modifications.... but no internal mods light gasket or piston.

Is it ok? Any thoughts of this mod?

My Mech tell me if i run light boost it will have small gains maybe add 20hp and 30 torque.... is it true... I just looking for nice drivable ride.. cause i always feel my lude just need abit more torque due to its heavy body...

I my mod reasonable if i dun really wanna mess aournd too much with internals. And with this Turbo will it affect my ATTS??

Currently i am using EMU which is very nice.

Hi Bros. Urgent need of advise....

Anybody use one of these Ebay Prelude Turbo Kits(Links Below)? Are they any good for light turbo setup? How are these Turbo Kits compared to Greddy and Revhard?

Why go cheap on a JDM Type-S ?

Both kits are garbage IMO.

You can buy two of those kits for the price of one good turbo.

aww naw man, I wasn't meaning to come off rude and shoot down the idea or anything. To me a JDM Type-S just seems like it would deserve a little more attention to detail ya know? How you do anything, is how you do everything.

Going with a cheap kit is just going to cause headaches and more than likely cost you more in the end.

You plan on staying stock internals and run on low boost? I don't know anything about the greddy kit, but I'll look at it. I do believe there isn't really much difference between the USDM H22 and the Type-s besides cams and other minor things, nothing that would affect the versatility of a kit. Don't quote me on that though :/

I think my car need a little more attention too. Hahaha.
Thanks Man.
i guess the biggest diff is compression ration. JDM ones a 11:1.
i wanna run low boost around 7-9 psi will be nice..
My goal is to increase 20-30whp and 30 torque.

I notice there is another brand REVHARD mentioned here. nv really heard of it in this part of the world though...

i guess If Greddy or Garrett have a bolt on it will be nice.

at .5bar you should pick up a lot more than 20hp/30tq on almost ANY turbo. my advice for you would be to look into a Jackson Racing Super Charger. It should meet your demands for power and is pretty safe if tuned properly. The other thing is that used Jackson units go for less than 1000USD$, should easily break 200whp.

if you're deadset on turbo, then I would suggest a good manifold with a dual ballbearing turbo. The reason for the dual ballbearing turbo is because it will deliver power sooner which would be my top priority for a daily driven car. or as your sig suggests, it would deliver power faster. do you need a parts list? haha

Thanks Bro. i will look into the dual bearing turbo thing. The reason why I am holding back on the SC is due to the noise it make. And with a turbo setup when i am ready for more action . i could do up interior of engine and go crazy WHP more easily. Hahaaha.
