Default 90 ef wont stop 2 stepping

like the title says, it wont stop 2 stepping when i press it wot and at idle i try to take off the car dies untill i let back off the gas....and i think the idle is messed up cause i have to litterally(with my foot) pull the pedal back towards me to get the idle back down

ps-car is swapped with d16z6 and converted obd0 to obd1 p28.

Is it throwind a check engine?

Sounds like the car might be in limp mode OR if it does have a chipped p28 in it with a launch control feature it is not sensing a vehicle speed and hence not getting out of the FTL routine.

ok now(for some odd reason) the car is throwing codes 1,5,6,7, and 8...but i fixed the dying, i can actually put the car pedal to metal and it rev. but i let off and it stays at 4k untill i pull the pedal back with my foot and then it goes back to erratic idle from 1k to 1.25k

any ideas??

the pedal should not stay down, check the return spring, and the cable for binding.

i found out the problem, the throttle was stuck, so i took it apart and sanded the butterfly and the ports on the t/b, re-greased the pivot shaft where the butterfly attaches to, and re assembled it, and adjusted the idle air screw. runs fine now...

but now my question is, the fitv valve, is the inside screw supposed to be screwed all the way tight or turned tight then turned back out a quarter??

its tightened all the way down....im wondering since i capped off one of the vaccume lines and routed the other to the emissions canister and messed with the idle air screw is it acting the way it is right now. my only problem as of now is: why when i barley press on my pedal i have to press it a lil more than normal to get it to respond. and now it only idles up and down when i barley press it to go into gear does it go from 1000rpm to 1250 rpm repeadedly

sounds like you need to do a few things:

1.) make sure u have no vac leaks
2.) clean icav
3.) clean and readjust fitv (done)
4.) completely bleed the coolant system
5.) maybe readjust your throttle cable tension
