Default Spun rod bearing! Now for a build. Would like to have some good input

So basically I spun a rod bearing in my built type R.

It is 12.5/1 compression right now with stock rods and acl bearings.

NoW I am going to just build the motor for turbo I think. Low compression build with H beam rods.

What I need to know from you guys is what's a good brand pistons and rods to go with.

The issue is I won't be going turbo for a while so I don't want to go too low compression and be slow as dogshit so I need insight on what would be a good starting point.

Thanks in advance

9:1 is just fine. if the car is NA, it WILL be slow. doesnt matter if its 9:1 or 12:1.

everyone has there own opinion on what pistons to run and probably rods. i like Endyn/Pauter combo, but its spendy and im sure your setup wont benefit from either. just get some Wiesco or CP pistons and Eagle rods.

good luck, post pics when done.
