a/c fan not blowing...please help.
i have a 2001 honda civic lx, 2 door coupe.
a couple of weeks ago, i got in my car and the a/c didn't come on.
i tried all of the different settings--high, low, fan only, a/c...and i get absolutely nothing. no hot air, no cold air...nothing.
the fuses are fine. i took out the blower motor and hooked it up to a battery. it works just fine. i checked the relays...they are good.
i have heard that it can either be the a/c/heat control switch or the resistor. i've also heard that if it's the resistor, i will still get air to blow on the highest setting...however i'm not sure if that is completely true (keep in mind, i'm not getting any air blowing out of my vents at all). there's a big price difference between the switch and the resistor (at least for me), so if anyone could please offer any help as to which you think it might be, i would greatly appreciate it.
-thanks, jane doe.
