modding my new 97 Prelude
Hi, I am 15 years old and recently got a 97 Prelude with a standard transmission and am interested in modding it up. I currently have an apexi N1 exhaust system waiting in the garage to be put on and an off brand short ram intake with an AEM filter. I am wondering if I should pursue all of the bolt on applications (excluding turbo) first then move to internal work. The only bolt on app left is headers, so should I put headers on next? If so, which headers are the best for the set up I have so far? And if it wouldnt be smart to put on headers, which route should I take in getting more power, but still keeping the car reliable? Keep in mind that I don't want to just get the most power immediately. I want to take progressive steps toward having the best set-up possible.
You will want to read the FAQ. In it, you will find wonderful pieces of information such as this:

What do you mean i didnt take the hint? I read the info and understand that internal mods mess with the relaibility and that most headers dont add much power. I think that the best thing to do is stick with the exhaust and SRI, then upgrade the suspension.
Yep, at 15 your downfall will be your impatience. Try to be as patient as you can and read about stuff for days and days before you buy anything.
A cheap header is not going to make much power, but a more expensive one combined with a complementary engine build can make a good amount of power. Depends on your time, budget, and experience.
Your best bet right now is to do lots of research and learn how cars work so you can make educated decisions.
