where a good place to get some si tail lights?

 

you don't really have to get "Si" taillights.
as far as I know, all the 99-00 Coupe taillights are the same.

im getting at i dont own a 99-00 coupe so i dont have the 99-00 coupe tail lights. 1+1=2 its that simple.

What? He said that all 1999-2000 2dr Civic tailights were red/white (yes, like the Si). What does that have to do with you not owning a 1999-2000 Civic?

All '99-'00 Civic coupes have the red/white taillights.

'99-'00 Civic coupe taillights will fit on '96-'98 Civic coupes without modification.

I do usually suggest you try to get the '99-'00 bulb harness if you're going to use those lights just because I've found more chains seem to sell the amber bulbs for the turn signals than the amber bulbs that fit the turn signals for the '96-'98 bulb harness.

Clear bulbs in the turn signals is illegal if the housing is clear.

I would try the MarketPlace, eBay, Craigslist, possibly junkyard or a local forum. They should cost about $100 for a set.

All places should be just as good as getting them anywhere else as long as you know what you're looking for (OEM ones). Occassionally you might get a set that leak. The best things to look for to tell if the lights leak is water in the housing, chipping (dark spots) on the refletive foil or cracks in the lights.

I'd have to agree.

Just make sure you cover your bases as best as you can.

- ALWAYS have a photo of the actual product.

- Ask questions if you have any. If you need more pics, ask.

- Ask about shipping before hand.

- Set standards (I like 99% or better and like to have several thousand buyers if it's a business).

If they don't give you pics and give you a run around at all, back out. You can buy it elsewhere (generally speaking).
