Default Suspension setup

I have an 03 civic with 45k driven and plan on replacing my stock springs with Eibach prokit while keeping the stock struts in place. I was wondering if I Should replace the stock struts as well because I heard a lot of people blow their springs after driving a certain number of miles.

the pro kit is a very mild drop @ 1" all around. I think you could get away using the OEM struts but its going to wear them as you rack up more miles. Secondly, OEM struts do not like lowering (progressive) springs. If you have the money for struts (I would suggest Tokico HP Blues as they are most affordable and simple for street), might as well do it all together and not deal with issues in the near future. People also buy OEM struts to replace their blown ones when they sell the car, hack them up for the koni yellow inserts, or for whatever reason. You can make few bucks from your stock ones!
