Default Now that I have my base line I need suggestions

in a stock EF Si for HPDE. I know for sure it needs a new rear bearing, new rotors, better pads and a better suspension AND I need more seat time.

If staying within $1050

$100 fix right rear bearing
$500 koni sport shocks, stock springs or maybe $100 Maxspeed or dropzone or H&R or Eibach springs (to get a baseline on stiffer spring lbs rates...PIC or GC later)
$100 suspension techniques rear sway bar
$100 new blank discs and Hawk HP+ pads (already have Motul 600)
$50 DC style header. I already have a pre-axle side dump muffler and test pipe.
$0 remove rear wiper and heater core. Already have everything behind front seats removed
$300 2nd HPDE session

Or....

3 more HPDE sessions stock.

Hi there,
What do you have for a seat and seatbelts if I may ask? Do you wear a donut type neck brace, you should, they are inexpensive. I am just into bringing up safety for HPDE'rs

To answer you in the order you asked:
-Yes, safety is a must, you should be inspected for good wheel bearings at any NASA event.
-NO,save money for now.Though some dropped springs from Progress couldn't hurt.
-NO,save money
-Sounds fine for brakes, the fluid is good too.Make sure your brakes are working perfectly.
-Why not for $50 bucks..
-Yes gut her mate
-YES, get all the track time you can, and do all 4 sessions, all 20min of 'em.The brain and muscles need excercise and will eventually be very fit with more track time.

-YES- HPDE all you can,it doesn't matter if you are in a minivan,be aware of your surroundings, drive hard and learn car control.

So we have $150 bucks or so,to maintain and keep your car up to safe standards, and you can save your other dough and spend it wisely on HPDE. Pay good attention to the instructors, track time is the next best thing for you after making sure the car is reliable and safe. Mad tyte parts can come in later. After a while you will know exactly what your car needs by driving it,not by what people tell you to get.Believe me, Justin knows from experience, many Bling parts have been removed and sold to get track worthy equipment once he learned what is really needed and what is not..though if you are Justin you can still have the track worthy parts you need and the bling

hope this helped somewhat

-Justin, who is going to win the So Cal Best young Driver title and maybe the H1 title this year if Kiwi can blow the rest of his engine stockpile up.

Fix whats broken (i.e. wheel bearing), and put a decent set of brakes on it. I'm a fan of carbotech, but its a matter of personal preference.

Spend the rest of the money on seat time. You will be faster with more seat time than you will be with a car with a few upgrades and little seat time.

Hi Justin, I have stock seats and belts. What do you suggest?

You are right. I got faster by the 3rd session with just experience and there is still a lot I can improve on, not starting with the car but with me. While I believed I could already get a hint of where the car needs to be improved (see above), truth is I really don't know hence the post. The wisest and affordable choice would be to do more HPDEs instead of bling-blangin' mods. I guess I will know EXACTLY what I need when its time. Thanks for your post it helped a lot.
