Steering rack install
I have a 92 Civic Si with power steering. I recently purchased an integra power steering rack out of a 94 ls or that is what I was told it was from. From my searches I am lead to believe that the Integra rack and the Civic rack are entirely interchangeable, as in little to no modifications needed if you already have power steering on your eg. That being said I think I was given the wrong rack as the two look nothing alike. The "Integra" one has a place for two hydraulic lines whereas the Civic has three. Any info on the matter would be greatly appreciated.
you sure all 3 places actually had lines coming out? i'm thinking 2 of the spots were connected to each other. the ps system only has 2 lines so i can't imagine where the 3rd one comes in.
I swapped a Integra ps rack into my non ps civic and used a different line setup and reservoir to eliminate the 3rd line issue.IIRC the 3rd just goes to the reservoir so you can T the 2 small lines together as well and run to the rack from Integra with 1 line in and 1 out.
I re-used the hardlines and made new rubber lines and added a cooler inline for racing but you can re-route the lines anywhere to mount a reservoir in a new place too.
