SILVER 92-95 civic coupe pix. this is a custom color for coupes Details inside
if there were a stock silver 5th gen Civic coupe and since honda did not make one, what might be some OE silver colors used in those years. I wonder what the chemical makeup of the paint would consist of?. Best way to answer this TECHnical question is to post pics of some sweet harse silver ej coupes.
I have been searching online and have only found a few pics. I am in the process of painting my ej. I have rifled thru "Wheres the ej1 love" thread as well as others to no avail. Please post your silver Ej pix. Thanks in advance

look clean. I think to pull off silver, you would have to do the moding and sideskirts silver also. That is a tough color to pull off in a coupe
I actually drove past a silver 5G coupe the other day. It had clearcoat peeling on the driver's rear quarter, but it was hard to tell from more than five feet. It only caught my eye because I know they don't exist here from the factory like that.
I saw toyomatt locked your thread in the Appearance/Cosmetic section the other day, so I won't tell you to post it there. He linked to threads about 5th gens and 5th gen coupes in general, but since this is about a CUSTOM paint job that isn't super common, that really didn't help you at all.
Let me see if I have any photos of silver coupes. OP, you should post any that you have found. This could help someone else later.
Some engine shots first. Not sure what body this is in.

And here is the closest I can get to silver on a coupe. A little dark, but it looks very silver in some shots.

Ya, i sent him a PM as to why he closed it. He totally just posted 2 threads about ej's in general. And I was thinking the same thing you were thinking, that doesnt help anyone out. Making a thread about it will get more exposure and a better result. As I run into some I will post. I just dont know about the black door guards and sideskirts. With silver all matching parts would look better IMO
This a PURE appearance/cosmetic topic, so if it's mved there it should NOT be loked IMO as it is nothing more than "post silver car X" pics which is EXACTLY what the APC forums are for.
BTW if you want to see a silver 92-95 I can help, but it's a hatchback:

...just imagine the trunk! Rest of the pics are in my signature.

As you know, this is a custom color for 5G Civic coupes, so they would be few and far between in a normal "Post Your Civic" type thread.
I did find out that if one were to want to replicate an "OEM silver fifth gen Civic" then the color that probably would be most accurate to use would be Vogue Silver Metallic (NH-550M). This would be a different color from the silver used on sixth gen Civics, which is really often called New Vogue Silver Metallic and has a different color code (NH-583M). It's the same color on del Sols.
It doesn't really work that way. Participation or not...
There was another thread in Appearance/Cosmetic, but it was locked right away.
