IAC Problems
Finishing up my OBD2 to OBD1 b16a auto to manual swap and im having some issues with the IAC. The obd2 harness has a 3 wire plug on it and my IAC a linear 2 wire. We tried the cutting the orange wire out and wiring the 2 wire plug up and still no luck. I wasnt sure what to do to the ECU since we have the obd2 to obd1 jumper into a p30 ECU. I still have the rotary IAC off my d-series and ive heard of ways to drill/tap to mount it and make it work. Im at a loss. Any input would be great!
Figure out what car the engine comes from (sorry, not familiar with b-series) and then go to Majestic Honda website and see which IACV it comes with. Simple as that. You might have to change your intake manifold as well if you don't have the original intake manifold that comes with this engine in order for the IACV to plug correctly (and once you get the original intake manifold you might have to change the throttle body and other sensors that are attached to the IM and the TB).
