hey im into doing dpfi to mpfi conversion ven i take a look at the back of my intake manifold and theres a sensor that i haent seen n other intake manifolds it looks to be a fast idle solenoid of some sort and it dosent plug into any of the engine harness plugs what is it and what can i do whit this???

Pretty sure it might be an OBD1 eacv...or something.

 

is it obd1 conversion as well? Im pretty sure you dont need to use it

 

hey its beside the eacv sensor its a plug just like one on the the firewall for the vaccum i belive

 

i believe what you're looking at is the evap purge control solenoid valve. it helps gas vapors from escaping into the atmosphere. you can live without it, and i don't believe you will throw a code even if its not hooked up.
