Default 99-00 Si Suspension?

I have a '96 Civic CX Hatch. Would there be a value in installing a 99-00 OEM Si suspension (springs/shocks), such as ride height differences, handling etc? (I'm not a fan of the slammed look, but a small wheel gap reduction would be cool)

What's a fair price for a lightly used OEM set of springs/shocks?

Thanks

I think your better off getting aftermarket suspension thats slightly adjustable so you can have whatever height you'd like.

Thanks for your comments. I've done the whole aftermarket suspension thing...They inevitably ride too harsh for my taste...I guess I'm asking how good was the Civic Si suspension? I've had two GSR's...Do they compare to those?

The 99-00 Si suspension is only slightly stiffer and might not even be noticeable. The higher spring rates will probably make your car ride higher. Keep looking.

I don't think it worth the change and the si suspension won't lower your car.

So, no lowering (possibly higher) and the handling improvement is marginal?

I have a 98 coupe and it handles pretty good with the si suspension, I think it matters if you have a swap to, specially for the front

you can get aftermarket lowering springs that do not ride stiff like more expensive sportier coil over setups might.
Tein i know sales a set of springs that they advertise as being for a lowered appearance as well as a smoother ride.

No personal experience with these springs though?

If your looking for mild lowering with a still comfy ride I would without a doubt get some Tien s-techs. They feels almost oem and close up the fender gap some too!

I agree..but if you do decide to put the si suspensions i would suggest you to do the rear disc conversion while your at it..that would give the car some more value.

Don't do Si suspension, you'll be wasting your time. Pick up some decent lowering springs and get some decent shocks like Tokico Illuminas (whites). You'll get a mild drop and better dampening than stock. You might think about picking up some sway bars, the 96-00 hatches didn't come with them at all
