This thread will cover on how to replace a glass sunroof on a 1989 Honda Civic Si hatchback

Tools you will need:
- A philips screwdriver
- A size 10 wrench
- Flathead screw driver


Make sure that your sunroof is closed tight and pull back the sunroof cover the exposes your glass sunroof



My glass sunroof is cracked and it annoys me!



Looking up at the glass sunroof you will see on each side their seems to be railing covers. On each railing cover their is a marble size cover that hides the screw. Pop them off.



Once popped off, unscrew both from each side.



Once unscrewed, slide back gently on the railing cover.



Once the railing cover is off, you will see their are 4 nuts on each side (Total of 8).



Unbolt all 8 with your size 10 wrench.



Once you have unbolted all 8 nuts, go ahead and push up on the glass and shimmy it out. Once all 8 studs from the glass sunroof are off the hinges pull the glass out gently.



Sunroof glass is out



Grab your new sunroof glass, pop it back in gently and matching the hinges and repeat the steps backwards




Their you have it, you now have replaced your glass sunroof. Enjoy and hopefully this write up helps out confused owners.
