What ZC?

Just use a shorter ratio transmission.

It'll work. It's basically just going to be like running a stock engine with a tiny bit more kick. If your car is still DPFI, then yeah you'll feel a difference. If it's already MPFI then it's not going to be anything drastic (if at all). As stated, a shorter geared tranny would probably make a bigger impact.

As for the head gasket, it's basically still going to be stock so use a normal head gasket (B2/B7/A6, etc). You can also use the Z6 head gasket which is actually cheaper at the dealer and is metal, but you have to make sure both the head and block are straight and within spec.

It should work. I would convert it to MPFI first. On my old engine i had an A6 with a zc cam and that thing was a mean mother.

That's fairly subjective. High enough to get over speed humps is a good measurement.
