I need someone that will ship tires USPS, sounds simple right?
preferably 2 and 2.
i need 225/45/15s... dont really care what brand, im not going to win H1 this year.
the only alternative to that size for me would be the 205 RT615s.
the key is 2 and 2. i am in japan, and if they go in a bundle of 4, theyll be on the slowboat and take 6 weeks. but if they go 2 and 2 theyll fit within the priority mail constraints for FPO-AP mailboxes and ill get them in 7 days.
does anyone know of a good reputable online store?
and dare i ask, does anyone have a set of barely used ones they wouldnt mind sending to JP via USPS? (its cheap)
thanks in advance for the help. this part of the site is a breath of fresh air from the caterpillar mustached 19 year old crowd.

I know hikaru and dustin at JLB from when i lived in socal, they wont do tires unless they are connected to wheels, or i pick them up. i hit them up first, those guys are good people. but thanks.
i explained this to one of the guys via PM.
you would THINK that since the majority of these performance tire companies are asian based, id have a HUGE selection, but thats not the case.
there are a number of factors.
1. japanese people in general are robotic. i love them to death but i have a metaphor that says "if its not on the menu, youre not getting it on your burger" this means, if the inside of your door says jamb "195/55/15" thats what youre getting, or they wont even sell you tires. its SO bad that when i showed up in my GF's stepwagon to pick up tires, they only wanted to sell me stepwagon tires. they could not FATHOM that i just wanted to buy 4 tires and leave. foreign concept EVEN at AUTOBACS of all places.
i have on numerous occasions attempted to get ONE extra slice of cheese on a BIg Mac, and have been told no. i placed 500 yen (5 bucks) on the counter for another slice of cheese, the cost of TWO big macs, and i was told no. i bought another big mac, took teh cheese off and handed the big mac back to the manager just to prove a point and they were STILL completely befuddled by what just happened. the SAME applies for someone trying to buy 205/50/15 or HEAVEN FORBID a 225/45/15 for a civic EK4 SIR that comes with 195/55/15
2. the japanese economy is just different than the US. meaning, dunlop dirrezza dz101 (the cheap one, not star spec) in a 205/50/15 are 179 dollars EACH. in the states, this is a 55 dollar tire all day long. ADVAN neovas which are only ever stocked in 195/55/15 (see above menu comment) are 220 each. generally, shitty all season 50 dollar tires cost 3 times that here. some items are cheaper, some are more.
royal purple oil is 24 dollars A QUART.
with that being said, im sure you can see my dilemna and now see why i just need to find someone to ship me some tires from the states. even with shipping, i wont even pay half what i would pay at AUTOBACS

haha... well thanks for the explaination.. I had no idea it was like that. It's really funny to hear but I can imagine it would be frustrating. I'd ship you tires, but I'm traveling over the next couple weeks.
