Heres the scoop
This has happenedabout 7 times in the last month.When you normally stop the vehicle and step on the brake the car stops...in this case when come to stop and press the brake and as the car slows down i hear the engine reving up , this lasts for about 2-4 seconds then the engine goes back to normal
Any ideas the car has a extended warranty which means 6 years or 120000kms bumper to bumper and transmission is covered.
Maybe some stipulations but the engine should be covered until 120000..The vehicle has about 105000kms right now.
Any suggestions would be aprreciated.thanks

 

im assuming this is an automatic?

sounds like your car is shifting up when it should be going down?

 

the car is a 5 speed manual..so any ideas

 

is it as you're slowing down or as you are about to stop

 

maybe your foot is hitting the gas with your hitting the brake. Do you have the feet or a penguen?

Maybe to do with brakes. Perhaps you pumped them a bit before. This causes the engine to rev up.

 

could it be rev hang?

many cars that ive driven do this, including mine. its just when u step on the brake it revs a bit. its normal i think

 

my car has never did it. but thats weird though.
somethin ill be on the lookout for

 

i have had the car for a year now and its never done that..just recently

you step on the brake and it revs for about 3 seconds .....weird.

what is a rev hang.....someone mentioned that earlier...any ideas
