As the title states I'm about to start a major project of gutting and eliminating all useless weight on my 96 LS.

Plan is as follows
1. Remove stock hood/hatch and latches and the wires that are associated.

2. Put back a carbon hood/hatch with pins and a FAL window.

I've searched until I'm blue in the face to try and find my answer but, no sucess. How much weight will this shave off? I just want to make sure that the funds are worth the return.

Yes I know this is my first post but, as you can see I've been a long time lurker.

 

a oem hood is about 35lbs and a good cf hood will be up to 15 but check which hood u r buying

 

Any ideas on hatch and rear glass weight

 

hmm... i would call the company tomorrow and ask them directly.
