14 dyno runs, lost 12 whp.....
well heres the story a bit long. i went to the dyno last night and got 14 runs. last time i got 174 at the wheels with i/h/e and vafc. this time i had toda spec b cams and cam gears. baseline run was at 168 whp. next run they adjusted the cam gears 2 degrees, went down to 161 whp. adjusted cam gears to 5 degrees went to 171 whp. adjusted to 7 went all the way down to 150 whp. put back to 5 degrees and he did some vafc tuning and went to 153. and a after alot more runs the best he could get it back to was 162. i was really dissapointed any one have any suggestions?
my compression is 10.6:1 stock. ill try and get the sheet on my comp. can anyone help me with some settings. i have a comptech hearer, hi flow cat, exhaust, aem feul rail and FPR, vafc, toda spec b cams, toda adjustable cam gears

what was ur timing set at? do u have a CAI?
just some things to consider...........
i have a comptech short ram intake, im gonna get the icebox soon. timing is set at stock 16 degrees. right now my biggest problem is trying to get it tuned

I agree with Reid. You got 2 things that REALLY need to be tuned properly.
1) Spec Bs. Always a chore to tune.
2) Spec Bs w/ V-AFC-- These 2 together will make things difficult unless you tune properly. This may be your problem....
But I guess that's rather obvious....
Just my quarter of a dime.

welcome to the wonderful world of Toda B's.
the VTEC switch is high...I mean high...6800, 7000, 7300 rpm all have been reported.
move the intake cam advance more...you want to get back the cylinder pressure (dynamic CR) you are losing from the longer intake duration. They like 12-12.3:1 CR BTW.... if you want to get swallowed by the money pit these will send you down.
how's the timing belt?

I've seen some Toda B owners make good hp and torque on stock compressio, 190/ 132. A good header with a 2.5 collector is needed, good intake, good exhaust. Cam timing is very important as is fuel tuning with those cams. Advance the timing to 18 degrees, take off the power steering belt for dyno runs.
Do a compression test just to be safe and sure that your engine is up to par. DON'T GIVEUP
. There is plenty of power to be found
