91 Hatch Wiring Demon
Ok, so before I get into this I will let you know what I have.
91 civic Dx Hatch
Zc Swap w Si Tranny
Ran perfectly until ...
So I was changing my thermostat, no big deal. I have a stereo with an amp in the rear. I went to grab some parts from the hatch and shorted the amp. Now the amp was grouned to the latch of the hatch. No big deal, the car wasnt running or anything. Well, the next time i tried to start it no deals. It would not even turn over. I noticed when I put my foot on the break, the instrument panel lights up and the gauges all go crazy. Like temp goes way up, fuel goes all the way down and tach (aftermarket) goes in reverse... if that makes sense. Also, the turn signals and hazards go crazy.
I checked the fuses, none bad.
I removed the alarm, radio and amp. Also the tach and anything aftermarket and electronic.
Checked and replaced main relay
Checked and replaced ignition relay
Removed the Turn Signal relay
I am kind of at a loss atm, anyone have an ideas? I have the schematics however I dont have the schematics for the actual fuse box. I am not sure what pins are hot on the on position, what ones are hot constantly, and which ones are hot on start/crank.
Any help or insight would be appriciated. Thank you.
