Default BOTI Street Stock: questions not answered by rulebook.

1) What is the minimum weight? Man I thought I was just getting old or blind, or just a combo of the two. Never saw the minimum weight.

2) What is the jist of "No engine swaps?" My question is specific such as can, for instance, a guy with a GSR take and (for no particular reason) use a B16 bottom end with a GSR head? On the other hand, can a guy with an RSX coming from the factory with a K20 use a K24 bottom end with the original K20 head? Or does "No engine swaps" simply refer to swaps that swap the "SERIES" of engine such as putting a b-series motor into a d-series car? So swapping b-series motors into b-series cars is fine? Hey, I just need some clarification here. I'm sure it's more like a deal where the only way you can run an H22 is if you had either a Prelude or an Accord Euro R. Just not sure though.

3) What are most of the guys in that class running as far as elapsed times? BOTI's record page doesn't show any Street Stock records.

4) Which combination seems to be dominating? Hell I can't seem to be able to find much about this class. I remember NHRA's version of it, but that's about it.

Let me know guys.

1) No min weight

2) If you have a integra you can run ls/vtec's, straight GSR's or straigh Type-R's but you cant run a b20 vtec setup. Same for RSX they have to run 2.0 blocks, 2.4's is no go. You can do what ever you want to the block IE big bore, bigger stroke ect but the block has to be what came in it from the factory. No JDM or Euro combo like b16's in CRX's ect

3) The cars range from low 12's on the fast side to high 13's low 14's on the slower side

4) B series Integra's are usually at the top of the pack

So for example, if I wanted to run an ITR motor (B18c5 or whatever), the integra would have to be an original ITR? What if I wanted to run the JDM ITR motor, would it have to have the ITR front end conversion, plus a RHD conversion, or does it have to be the original RHD car?

I'm just trying to get the whole USDM vs JDM thing straightened out in my mind since I know the Integra came in so many variations. Just trying to determine if the only way I can run an R motor is if I have the sure enough Integra Type R car....?

So it's the block that determines the legality of the car such that the block came with that particular car, not necessarily the body style, but the car specifically?

Lastly, can trasnmissions between series be used? Such as H-series trans with an F-series motor? Or can an H2B setup be used?

Don't over complicate it, what ever came from the factory in that car motor wise you can run.

Integra ANY 1.8L motor combo
Prelude H22 or whatever was available for that car.
Civic 88-91 nonvtec D series
Civic 92-00 Any D except a 00 Si that can run b16a
RSX K20's

I dont know if H2B is legal or not

to me this class is a very fun class to compete in... everyone is almost at the same level.... majority of people in the class run a integra with a bseries

I would add to that "In the US." We were specifically told that the 2L 16v that came in non US 93-97 VW's would not be legal for BOTI Street Stock. If you have any specific questions, I would bother Frank or Parks.
